Joe Campa is a seasoned Project Management Office (PMO) leader and project professional with over 20 years of experience in project management and project controls, encompassing program and portfolio management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Joe has been instrumental in supporting two of Canada\u2019s largest clean-energy infrastructure mega-projects, playing a critical role in establishing a world-class PMO. This PMO was recognized as a finalist for the PMI PMO of the Year Award (2022) and won the prestigious America\u2019s PMO of the Year Award by the PMO Global Alliance in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A passionate advocate for the project management profession, Joe has contributed extensively at local, national, and international levels. Locally, he served nine years on the Board of Directors for the PMI Durham Highlands Chapter and continues to shape the future of the profession as a member of 2\u202fProject Management Program Advisory Committees in post secondary institutions. Within his organization, Joe spearheaded a\u202ffirst-of-a-kind New Grad Program in Project Management, and established world class training programs in both Project Management and Project Controls and is a PMI ATP for the PMP. On a broader stage, Joe has delivered training programs and contributed to the development of certification exams, including the PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) and PMI Construction Professional (PMI-CP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Joe\u2019s thought leadership extends to authoring and reviewing significant industry resources, including PMI\u2019s ‘Risk Management in Portfolios, Programs, and Projects: A Practice Guide’, and the PMI ‘Project Management Offices: A Practice Guide’. He serves on PMI\u2019s PMO Global Awards Judging Committee, the PMOGA Vision and Growth team, the PMO North America Hub, and represents his organization on PMI\u2019s Global Executive Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
