Speakers of the 12th Edition

Dr. Paulo is a Principal Researcher in Transport and Health at University College London. His research is interdisciplinary and looks at how transport affects society, the environment, health, and wellbeing, including how these impacts vary between population groups. Much of his work focuses on pedestrians, particularly safety, accessibility, the barriers created by road traffic, street environments, and interactions with drivers. Paulo is on the Board of Trustees and UK Executive Committee of the Transport and Health Science Group and on the Editorial Board of Wellbeing, Space and Society and of the Journal of Transport and Health. He is also a Visiting Lecturer at University of Westminster where he teaches Transport Economics and Streets, Places, and Active Transport.
