Siemens Xcelerator portfolio with regional partners for middle eastern region contributes to digital transformation opportunities globally.

Afzal until November 2022 was the Head of the MindSphere Smart City Application Center and the Command & Control team and Siemens Chief Technology Advisor for EXPO2020 Dubai Mega project.

Afzal prior to 2018 was the Head of Business Development, Innovation & Strategy in the Middle East for Siemens’ Building Technologies. With 26 plus Years of critical enterprise projects of which 23 plus years of experience at Siemens, he has worked on enterprise projects in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. His specializations include smart cities, critical infrastructure, data centers, XR, data analytics, digital transformation and co-creation, product innovation and command and control centres. Afzal holds a master’s degree in Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in engineering. He also won the prestigious Werner von Siemens Innovator of the Year Award in 2020.
