Speakers of the 9th edition (2024)

Dr. Christoph Hirnle is an internationally recognized expert in the fields of organizational effectiveness, PMO and Project Portfolio Management. He firmly believes that business effectiveness and employee well-being are fundamentally intertwined.  

An academic at heart, his objective is to go beyond buzzwords to get to the heart of what people are saying. To do so, he leverages his broad understanding of the many interrelated fields he experienced firsthand over the last 25 years. 

Academically, he holds degrees in Computer Science, Management and Sociology (London School of Economics, Oxford Brookes University) and a PhD in Organizational Economics (University of Munich). The big takeaway from his studies is that all Information Systems are really Social Systems. 

In his professional career, he has led efforts on strategy development, strategy execution, agile transformation, product development, and Post-Merger-Integration. 

Today, he is a Managing Director at German SaaS company Meisterplan, a next generation Portfolio and Resource Management Solution. Christoph is the inventor of Lean PPM™, a decision-making framework for adaptive portfolio and resource decision-making. Today, both Meisterplan and the Lean PPM™ decision-making framework are used by many hundreds of organizations around the world. 

Outside of work, he volunteers as the Chair of the Global Advisory Board of the PMO Global Alliance, the world’s largest community of PMOs and PMO professionals. 

Before diving into the world of SaaS, he worked as a Management Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group and ran a FinTech company, 3C.
