Martina Huemann is Professor of Project Leadership and Society at the Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction, University College London where she heads The Project Hub and is the Policy Lead of the School.  She is also Professor at WU Vienna and Visiting Professor at the University of Johannesburg.

At WU Executive Academy she is the Academic Director of the Vienna Executive MBA: Strategic Project Management and Co-Director of the Female Leaders Programme.

For her pioneer research on human resource management in project-oriented organisations Martina received the IPMA Research Award (2018). For her research on leadership, stakeholder engagement and sustainable project management she received the PMI Research Award (2025) and the IPMA Research Achievement Award (2026). She is Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Project Management and Founding Editor-in-Chief of Project Leadership and Society.  She is co-editor of the Handbook of Project Management (Taylor Francis, 2024) and the Research Handbook of Sustainable Project Management (Edward Elgar, 2024).

With over 20 years of experience in research, teaching, and consulting, she believes in co-creation between scholars, practitioners and policy makers.
