Speakers of the 12th Edition

Rob Cooke FBCI is the Founder and Director of Beacon Resilience & Continuity and a recognised practitioner in operational resilience, business continuity and crisis management.
With more than 20 years’ experience, Rob has worked across complex and regulated environments, helping organisations strengthen their ability to manage disruption, make effective decisions under pressure and translate resilience strategy into practical operational capability.

His work spans operational resilience, crisis management, technology and third-party resilience, scenario testing and executive-level exercises. A particular focus of his work is the point at which plans, governance and technology meet real-world delivery — ensuring organisations are not simply prepared on paper, but able to coordinate and respond effectively when circumstances change.

Rob is a Fellow of the Business Continuity Institute (FBCI), an Accredited BCI Tutor and an accredited ISO 22301 Lead Auditor. He previously led the BCI Midlands Chapter and is Head of Resilience at True Potential. He is also a Non-Executive Director of ACECUS, supporting the UK credit union sector.

In 2025, Rob was named Continuity and Resilience Consultant at both the BCI Europe Awards and BCI Global Awards, recognising his contribution to advancing practical resilience and organisational readiness.
